The Old Market Assembly

Join Assembly Bakery Director Dave Fung for a fun and informative full-day, hands-on, bread making course.

Have you ever wanted to make your own bread? There’s nothing quite like that first bite of a warm, freshly baked loaf and it’s even better when you’ve made it yourself. Join Assembly Bakery Director Dave Fung for a fun and informative full-day, hands-on, bread making course.

During the class you’ll create four kinds of bread including sourdough, bagels and ciabatta. Better still, you’ll get to take them all home at the end of the session! You will also learn how to create and care for your sourdough culture and be given some of the Assembly Bakery’s own starter to take home. The class includes a mouthwatering array of breakfast pastries, lunch and hot drinks throughout the day, the course is suitable for complete novices and those with more experience alike.

Throughout the day, Dave will be on hand to explain exactly how to do everything in plenty of detail, how to prevent the usual mistakes and make professional quality bread at home. You will go home with printed recipes and an arm-full of warm bread, so bring a carrier bag.

The class will take place in The Old Market Assembly at 10am-5pm, so make sure you arrive promptly.

We’re over the moon to source our bread and cakes from the Assembly Bakery. It is essential for us to use companies that are aligned with our ethos and they tick every box.
